-CuteHTML (its an older editor but I'm so familar with it)
-Paintshop Pro 7 (again another older piece of software but I'm super familar with it.)
-PhotoShop 7 (from time to time I need to use it for certain effects etc)
-Joomla (the best CMS I've used, almost all my designs on it)
-phpBB
-MySQL
-phpmyadmin
-PHP5
-Apache2
What I've done is a setup a personal webserver on my private PC (apache, mysql, phpmyadmin, php and finally installing Joomla) from there I'm able to work on my designs to my hearts content and while one design may look complete it actually goes through many changes before its...abandoned...like DaVinci once said..."Art is never finished, only abandoned." Although my main designs are primarly based on Joomla I am able to create various designs with basic HTML,CSS. I'm not fluent enough to program in PHP but I do understand how it all works. I usually begin with the layout and work my way in the CSS. this process usually is a "back and forth" experience. Once I'm happy with a layout and colours I'll begin adding various graphic elements, i.e: logo's, background images etc...This normally involves me working in onew of my fav graphic editors. Recently I've began experiementing with implementing my own photography into my designs but I'm not confident enough to release any of those designs yet.
Well enough babbling about what I go through on a design process for me. For those wondering on how much I charge well for the most part its quite low, like ranging at $20.00 for a design, $40.00 for a custom design with your colour choices etc. However most times I like to help people with there websites and willing to assist wherever I can. Time permitting of course. This doesn't mean I'll sit there and take someone's abusive controlling behavior. But yea I tend to offer a lot of my services for free occassionally I may request payment first.
Some of the emails I've recieved have some other questions so I'll answer a few of the more common ones I experience.
-I have no degree's in Graphic Design, everything I know was self taught, a lot of passion and time went into my desire to learn what I know now.
-I've been doing graphic design for 14 years,, I did take all arts classes in High School with a Major in Commercial Arts (what is now called Graphic Design). Recently I was accepted in to the local college for there design courses (this was only because I finally decided to pursue a career in Graphic Design) prior to all this I was a Resource Worker for Social Services....a career I recommend NO ONE should ever step into...unless you want to age double, triple speed.
-I've been doing web design for 7 years nothing on a grand scale, and most of the time for friends. Recently I've felt confident enough to share my Joomla designs, or offer my assistance to anyone working with it.
-My knowledge isn't limited to just the web aspect I'm also a certified computer technician and I have been trained to work private business networks for select Government agencies in the social services sector.
-My hobbies..heh..I love working on computers, I love working on graphic designs, I LOVEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE playing computer games....in fact computer gaming has ruined me for console gaming, I could never go back to the limited interface of one nor clunky controls...and more recently Photography....awesome field and something I look forward to exploring, although...I must admit it can be quite expensive for the equipment.
Anyways I think that's enough info, Got anymore questions, please feel free to send me a message or email.
